Small islands in the south-west Pacific are not necessarily the first choice destination for car drivers. This meant that Otto’s arrival in and departure from the Solomon Islands proved difficult: "A ship only leaves Papua New Guinea for the islands every two weeks or sometimes every four weeks," said Gunther. Finally he and his son Martin found a container for Otto. In the meantime, they spent more than two weeks visiting the islands.
